The Budget Office at the University of Central Arkansas provides assistance to Vice Presidents, Deans and Department Chairpersons to obtain a better understanding of their budgets for the fiscal year, beginning July 1st and ending June 30th.
The Budget Office prepares operating budgets, monitors revenues and expenditures, submits reports to the Arkansas Department of Higher Education and other federal agencies, provides financial planning information to administrators and conducts budget training sessions for the University Community.
The Budget Office ensures that adequate budget is available in the People Admin process for the position posting and hiring procedure, along with the review of personnel action forms (PAFs). Plant accounting, finance security, approval queues and the chart of accounts is maintained by the Budget Office.
The proposed operating budget is contingent upon approval by the President and the Board of Trustees.
The Scholarship Compliance Office is also housed within Budget. This Office reviews all policies, processes and procedures in relation to university scholarships and ensures all university scholarships are in compliance with those policies.
