Not Forgotten
The University of Central Arkansas is proud to present the 2011 Henderson/Block Gospel Benefit Concert on Monday, October 24 at 6:30 PM., in Ida Waldran. This event is held in memory of Ryan Henderson and Chavares Block who were victims of an on-campus shooting in 2008.
For the past two years, with the communities help, we have raised enough funds to provide two $1,000 scholarships to students from Dermott and Hall, the high school alma maters of Chavares and Ryan.
This year, we have the pleasure of awarding the second scholarship. President Meadors will join us for this presentation.
As a partner in our UCA community, we want you to join us on October 24 as we celebrate and honor the lives of two young men. This will be a joyful event, you won’t soon forget.
A $5.00 donation is requested for admission. The funds from this event will allow us to continue to support the academic goals of UCA students. If you cannot join us, but would like to support the fund raising efforts, checks can be made payable to the UCA Henderson/Block Fund and mailed to the Office of Student Life, Student Center 207.
