About Shreya:
Shreya was born in London, England and traveled around the nation before she found her home in Van Buren, Arkansas. She came to UCA during peak COVID-19 season and spent her entire freshman year inside and online. Still, she found a way to become involved and spent her time on the IDEAL Leadership Team, became a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority, and served as a freshman representative on the Student Government Association. As a student liaison on the Communication Sciences and Disorders: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee, she brought new ideas to the table to make her own major more inclusive. The next year, she served as an alumni leader on the IDEAL Team and as the Academic Chairman on the executive board of Delta Zeta. Shreya was also a President Leadership Fellow and a member of LEAD Team during her senior year. In addition, she served as the president of Order of Omega. She graduated in the Spring of 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Three years felt way too short.
Shreya is a graduate student of the Speech Language Pathology Master’s Program at UCA. She eventually wants to work in pediatrics in a hospital setting. She currently oversees four leadership programs, such as IDEAL Leadership, LEAD Team, Relay for Life, and the National Society of Leadership and Success. She assists with preparing leadership trainings, conducting meetings, and creating opportunities for students. Shreya is excited to make a full circle since she served on these programs as an undergraduate.
In her free time, Shreya loves hanging out with the people that are near to her heart. She enjoys reading romance books, working out at the gym, and experiencing new things to do around Central Arkansas. She is addicted to Amazon and loves to snack! Her favorite shows are The Office, Kim’s Convenience, and Friends.
