Routing for approvals takes up to 10 business days. In this phase of the project lifecycle, your proposal will be routed for institutional approvals.
- Proposal development is the ultimate responsibility of the PI and the departments or units of the various schools, colleges, or institutes.
- Proposal submission happens with ORSP when you route your proposal through Cayuse, our routing software system. You may also need to submit the proposal through the sponsor agency directly (e.g., Arkansas Arts Council, National Endowment for the Arts, Spencer Foundation).
10 Business Days
The routing and approval process, which ensures you have the institutional support required by most funding agencies as well as UCA policy, takes 10 business days.
ORSP uses an electronic system called Cayuse to route all external grant proposals (federal, state, foundation, and industry) through the administrative channels needed for approval prior to submission to typically include the following:
- ORSP
- Human Resources
- Post-Award Grants and Contracts
- Chair
- Dean
- Finance & Administration
- Provost
- Authorizing Organizational Representative
Additional approvals may be needed if your application includes, for example, the cost of on-campus housing or library services.
