The Department of Government, Public Service, and International Studies offers two political science degree programs – Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science and Bachelor of Science (BS) in Political Science – for students interested in pursuing careers in government, law, and politics. The BA in Political Science is a liberal arts degree for students who seek to develop the broad knowledge, critical thinking, research, and communications skills appropriate for a complex and rapidly changing world. The BS in Political Science is a social science degree for students who seek to gather and analyze information, explain political phenomena, and address political problems. Students may also choose to pursue Minors in Political Science and Legal Studies.
