As the Research Director of the WELLness Hub, Dr. Allman-Tucker leads a dynamic, collaborative environment aimed at:

Mission:
Enhancing women’s wellness through research in exercise, nutrition, and lifestyle to foster better health across all stages of life, with a special focus on pregnancy and maternal health.

 

Current Studies:
  • Ketogenic Diet & Exercise: Investigating how different macronutrient compositions impact muscle performance in exercise-trained women.
  • FITT Pregnancy & FITT Babe: Assessing exercise’s influence on maternal blood glucose and infant growth among pregnant women, including those with gestational diabetes.
  • Migraines & Carbohydrates: Exploring the relationship between dietary carbs and migraine intensity/frequency in women prone to migraines.
Student Involvement: 

Undergraduate and graduate students actively participate in study design, data collection, and research presentations. 

The WELLness Hub is dedicated to translating findings into actionable health guidance for the public, with the goal of empowering women to become their “most WELL selves.”
