Matthew Page

Matthew Page, a 2008 UCA graduate with a degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education and coaching endorsement, was named the 2022 Boys Soccer Coach of the Year by the Arkansas High School Activities Association. Since graduating, Matthew has worked in three school districts. After graduation, his first job was at Blytheville Middle School from 2008-2010 where he taught Physical Education and 5th grade science. He also coached high school football, high school girls’ track, and 8th grade basketball. From 2010-12, he taught pre-AP History and was a junior high school football coach and the Head Coach for the high school boys’ soccer team. While he was at Greenbrier, the soccer team won a conference championship and made it to the state semi-finals twice. Currently, Matthew’s position is with Conway Public Schools, where he has been teaching and coaching for the past 10 years. He teaches history at the junior high school and is the high school boys’ soccer team’s Head Coach. During his time at Conway, the soccer team has won four conference championships, the state tournament runner-up in 2021, and won the state championship in 2022. Matthew feels the people are what he enjoys most about his job. He says, “The relationships and the impact you can have on someone’s life in this profession is huge. I love to invest in people and see how that impacts their lives.” Matthew says his degree from UCA has opened doors that were otherwise closed, and has given him an opportunity to meet new people. Congratulations to Matthew on all of his success. We cannot wait to see what else he achieves in his career.
