UCA Athletic Training Program – Additional Expenses
Applicant Expenses
AT-CAS application: $85 to establish an account/$45 if you have already established an account
Background Check: Approximately, $40.00, students seeking admission are required to submit a criminal background check from an approved agency. The cost of the criminal background check is set by the approved external agency (e.g. www.mycb.castlebranch.com [package code is UB95 : Background Check], Arkansas State Police).
Graduate Application fee: $45.00
MS-AT Program (Level 1, Year 1, Summer)
A-Track (Lifetime Subscription – $90/00) https://www.atrackonline.com
Uniform: Khaki shorts/pants $25.00 – 50.00 (each)
- Items can be purchased through local stores (e.g. UCA bookstore, Wal-Mart)
- Name-tag $10
UCA AT Program T-Shirt – provided by UCA
Lab Coat: Medium length (approximately mid-thigh) $5.00 – 50.00 (rented lab coats must be dry cleaned before returning to UCA course instructor for Human Gross Anatomy)
CPR Pocket Mask with an oxygen inlet: $20.00 (e.g. redcrossstore.org, amazon.com)
American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers certification – $30.00
Stethoscope: $40.00 – 60.00 (Avoid tubing longer than 22 to 27 inches or double tubing and the bell should have good acoustic sensitivity.)
CPR/AED certification: $30.00 – 40.00 (American Red Cross – CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer)
Tape/Bandage Scissors: $30.00 – 40.00
Transportation costs: Gas, parking, etc. are the responsibility of each student.
MS-AT Program (Levels 2 – 5, Fall, Spring, Summer, Fall)
Living Expenses: Housing and food for semester – August preseason (3-4 weeks) are the responsibility of students
T-Shirt and game polo shirt: provided by UCA
Level 3 – Interprofessional experience (IPE) course with Nurse Practitioner students: $75.00
Fanny Pack: $30.00 – 45.00 (typically purchased before the start of Level 2)
Scrubs: $20-30 for level 4-5 students enrolled in general medical clinical
Transportation: Gas and parking, etc. are the responsibility of each student
MS-AT Program (Level 5 students, Fall)
BOC Self-Assessment Exam: $30.00 each
NATA Practice Test: $40.00 each
Transportation costs: Gas, parking, etc. are the responsibility of each student. Transportation costs to off-campus clinical rotations is the responsibility of students.
MS-AT Program (Level 6 students, Spring)
CPR/AED re-certification: $30.00 – 40.00
Transportation costs: Gas, parking, etc. are the responsibility of each student. Transportation costs to off-campus clinical rotations is the responsibility of students.
ANNUAL COSTS:
TB Test cost: $5.00 each at UCA Student Health Service for Level 1 and 4 students
College of Health and Behavioral Sciences course fee: $14.00 per credit hour for all ATTR courses
Exercise and Sport Science Department Fee: $5.00 per credit hour
NATA student membership: $65/year
AATA student membership: $25/year
Extra AT Program T-Shirt: $15.00 – 20.00 each
Living Expenses: Housing and food for 3-4 weeks in August preseason are the responsibility of the student
Transportation: Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from clinical experiences
Liability Insurance – Provided by UCA. If students pursue experiences outside of the program requirements (e.g. summer camps) it is recommended you purchase personal liability insurance.
