Co-Teaching

This inclusive practices professional learning opportunity is for special education plus general educators. The professional development will target the co-teaching philosophy, models, co-planning, co-instruction, and co-assessment. PD helps everyone have the same foundational learning of co-teaching plus a common language. The unique school needs will also be incorporated into professional learning opportunities. Scheduling

A major consideration regarding co-teaching is scheduling. When planning to implement evidence-based instructional practices, schools have decisions to make about how and where students will best be served. Questions will arise regarding following IEP minutes and least restrictive environment options, and these result in a careful look at the entire picture regarding the Master Schedule.
