UCA Internships and Cooperative Education is excited to announce our 2024-25 Intern of the Year, Arielis Rodriguez-Gutierrez. Ariel is a senior Chemistry major who interned at University of California, Irvine. Ariel is also the recipient of the National Intern of the Year award and will be honored at the CEIA national conference in Tucson, AZ in April 2025. Bears on a Budget is an interactive and engaging event designed to teach students how to grocery shop effectively on a limited budget while prioritizing nutrition. Students will work in teams to create a grocery list for a week’s worth of meals using a $100 budget. Through this challenge, students will gain practical budgeting skills, make informed grocery choices, and learn how to maximize their food options while staying within financial constraints.

Join members of the Arkansas legislature’s Future Caucus for a meet and greet on Wednesday, March 19th from 6-7 pm in the McCastlain Hall Fireplace Room to learn about how Gen Z and millennial lawmakers across the state are connecting to transcend polarization and get results for their communities. You can also learn how to follow the state legislative session and what priorities of the Arkansas legislature are likely to affect young people and college students the most. Refreshments will be provided!
