Great things are happening at UCA. With the support of alumni and donors like you, we are reaching new heights of support for our students, our faculty, and our university.
This past spring, we launched the largest fundraising campaign in our history — UCA Now: Impact Arkansas and Beyond. This $100 million capital campaign will transform our university and communities for generations to come — one student at a time.
Our campaign fundraising efforts focus on four areas or pillars — success, wellness, culture, and excellence. Each pillar will be the theme of a special issue of UCA Magazine beginning with the current issue on wellness.
We chose to begin with wellness because of the health care and wellness challenges we all face. UCA plays a significant role in meeting these challenges for the individuals and communities across the state and region.
This issue will highlight many of these points of impact, including the recent opening of the new Integrated Health Sciences Building. The first of its kind in the region, the new facility includes collaborative learning experiences through an Interprofessional Teaching Center, a state-of-the art simulation center that replicates real-life scenarios, and provides for expanded health care programs that allow us to graduate more health care professionals.
As a longtime leader in health care education, Arkansans depend on UCA to meet their health and wellness needs. I am proud of this new facility, the enhanced learning opportunities it provides our students and the expanded impact our health care graduates will have in communities across Arkansas and beyond.
This new health education building and numerous other successes are the results of the support of you – our donors, alumni, and friends.
Transforming this university and impacting our communities is about participation and working together for a common goal. Every gift — large, small, individual, and corporate — adds up to big impact. With your continued support UCA and our graduates will continue to impact Arkansas and beyond.
