Students Recognized at Board Meeting

Two students were recognized as the first CLAWS recipients at the August 2017 meeting of the University of Central Arkansas Board of Trustees.

CLAWS is Celebrating the Lofty Achievements of our Wonderful Students. The designation is given to students or groups of students who fall into one of these categories

  • International, national and statewide recognition/scholarship awardees
  • Students presenting research at statewide, national and international conferences
  • Students recognized with high-level internships
  • Award-winning Registered Student Organizations
  • New student groups

Anastasiya Klimiankova and Lillian McEntire, both seniors, were the first CLAWS recognized. Anastasiya Klimiankova is a senior accounting major from Belarus. She served as 2016-2017 president of the Theta Lambda chapter of Beta Alpha Psi here at UCA. UCA’s chapter won several regional and national honors during her presidency.

Lillian McEntire

Lillian McEntire is a senior biology major with a minor in Honors Interdisciplinary Studies. She is from North Little Rock and serves as a UCA Ambassador through the Admissions office and a Schedler Honors College Ambassador. She was also a 2016 Newman Civic Fellow and the only Newman Civic Fellow from an Arkansas institution last year.
