WHAT: Nadine Strossen answers your toughest questions on free speech, academic freedom and civil discourse.
WHO: Nadine Strossen, New York Law School Professor Emerita and Senior Fellow at Voices for Liberty and FIRE (the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression), was national President of the American Civil Liberties Union from 1991 to 2008. An internationally acclaimed free speech scholar and advocate, who regularly addresses diverse audiences and provides media commentary around the world, Strossen’s most recent books are: “Free Speech: What Everyone Needs to Know”® (2023); and “HATE: Why We Should Resist It with Free Speech, Not Censorship” (2018). She is also the Host and Project Consultant for “Free To Speak”, a 3-hour documentary film series distributed on public television in 2023. Strossen serves on the Advisory Boards of several organizations that promote free speech and academic freedom.

Look for the candidates in the caf on Monday 10/7, Wednesday 10/9, and Friday 10/11 at 11:30am and 5:30pm! Candidates will be wearing a “candidate” button and have a “candidate” table tent, and will be accompanied by members of UCA’s Bears at the Ballot student organization.
