Nonprofit Board Development Series
UCA Outreach & Community Engagement and the Arkansas Community Foundation Faulkner County will offer a four-week Nonprofit Board Development Workshop Series this fall at UCA Downtown. Registration is $50 for a team of up to four people per nonprofit organization, and teams should plan to attend all four sessions. View session topics and register at uca.edu/outreach/nonprofits.
Community Education Classes
This fall, UCA Downtown will host several Community Education classes: Art Journaling, Introduction to Tai Chi, Tai Chi 2, and Introduction to Chi Kung. WordPress 101: Learn the Basics
The Arkansas Coding Academy will offer WordPress 101: Learn the Basics as part of its 101 Courses series. This course meets Thursdays, October 5-26, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at UCA Downtown. Participants will learn to create a website using WordPress as a CMS (Content Management System); choose and install WordPress themes and plugins; and create visually appealing webpages that include images, photo galleries and videos. Arkansas Coding Academy Open House
Be on your way to a new career path in as little as 3 months. Learn to code at the Arkansas Coding Academy. Prospective students are invited to drop by UCA Downtown on Tuesday, October 10, any time between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm for an Arkansas Coding Academy open house. Meet with a career advisor and find out if the Arkansas Coding Academy is a good fit for you. New part-time and full-time classes begin in January 2018, and applications are open. Central Arkansas Small Business Series
This series of workshops is designed to help small business owners succeed in their quest to establish, develop, grow, and maintain healthy and thriving businesses or other small organizations. The next workshop in the series will be “Risk Management and Succession Planning” on Thursday, November 2, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
