Wellness Ambassador Program

This program will no longer be available beginning July 1, 2020. Students interested in transitioning the program into a Registered Student Organization (RSO) should contact Jenna Davidson at jdavidson@uca.edu or 450-3133.

Wellness Ambassadors are a group of students who serve as a liaison between the Office of Student Wellness & Development and other students on and off-campus to help promote health and well-being by assisting in designing, promoting, and participating in health events and campaigns on campus.


  • Be a sophomore, junior, or senior attending UCA
  • Maintain a 2.8 GPA
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for educating and helping others.


  • Assist with the planning, publicizing, and implementation of wellness events.
  • Collaborate and build partnerships with student organizations, groups, and departments on campus.
  • Contribute ideas for making programs more successful and reach more students.
  • Volunteer at programs, events, and coordinate wellness activities.
  • Act as a positive role model for living a healthy lifestyle.

Benefits of being a Wellness Ambassador:

  • Develop skills in program planning, facilitation, and public speaking.
  • Gain extensive knowledge about various health concerns affecting college students.
  • Become part of a diverse team of students dedicated to promoting wellness to peers.
  • Gain experience for your resume.


  • Attend bi-weekly meetings the 1st and 3rd Tuesday during x-period
  • Volunteer a minimum of 20 hours a semester (this includes planning sessions, presentations, health programs, and promotion activities).
  • You must attend the Fall training in August.
