Capstone Preliminary Draft Proposal

According to ACOTE, the goal of the doctoral experiential component is to develop an occupational therapist with skills that are more advanced (skills that are beyond the generalist level).

The following is ACOTE Standard D.1.0
"The doctoral capstone shall be an integral part of the program’s curriculum design. The goal of the doctoral capstone is to provide an in-depth exposure to one or more of the following: clinical practice skills, research skills, administration, leadership, program and policy development, advocacy, education, and theory development.

The doctoral capstone consists of two parts:
 Capstone project
 Capstone experience

The student will complete an individual capstone experience/ project to demonstrate synthesis and application of knowledge gained

The student will complete an individual 14-week capstone experience that must be started after completion of all coursework and Level II fieldwork, and completion of preparatory activities defined in D.1.3".

PROPOSAL (DUE WEDNESDAY, JULY, 26 2023)
Complete a draft proposal of your preliminary capstone plan in order to begin to define your interests and help faculty with mentoring.

More than one of these forms may be completed to represent multiple interests of yours. However, you must be willing to accept any form you submit as your preliminary draft proposal.
