Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) (Chapter 31)

The Veteran Readiness and Employment (formerly known as Vocational Rehabilitation) benefit is for Veterans with a service-connected disability that limits your ability to work or prevents you from working. Basic eligibility requirements are as follows:

  • You did not receive a dishonorable discharge AND 
  • You have a service-connected disability rating of at least 10%

Final determinations for eligibility are done through the VA Education Department.

Once you have applied, you will be contacted by a VR&E counselor who will set up an appointment with you.

Our office will require three documents in order to certify you:

  1. Enrollment Certification Form, https://uca.edu/veteranservices/certification/. *
  2. Concise Student Schedule*
  3. Purchase Order**

*These forms must be submitted every semester in order to be certified.

**The purchase order will be submitted by your counselor, but it is required for certification.

Once you have been certified, you may stop by the office to pick up a stamped copy of your schedule. You will take this to the Student Bookstore to obtain your books and supplies.
