New Faculty and Staff Orientation

New Employee Orientation – The Office of Human Resources provides a personalized one-on-one orientation when a new employee is hired. To complement the HR program, the New Faculty Orientation and New Staff Orientation programs present additional university information to all new hires.

New Faculty Orientation – The Center for Excellence in Teaching & Academic Leadership (CETAL) sponsors the faculty orientation program. For program dates and information contact cetal@uca.edu or 450-5240.

New Staff Orientation – The coordinator for this program is Charlotte Strickland. Charlotte may be reached at 450-3135 or training@uca.edu. The New Staff Orientation is a ½ day program covering information on Campus Life, Staff Senate, Campus Policy, University Police, Human Resources and more! The orientation includes lunch, door prizes and a campus tour. All new staff are urged to attend. You’ll learn about the campus, gain understanding of your benefits, and discover some of the many resources that are available to UCA employees.

This voluntary program is offered twice a year to all new University staff employees. The annual dates are listed below. New Faculty Orientation

The focus of this day will be teaching essentials and resources to support instruction. Topics will include an overview of UCA students, instructor-student rapport and classroom climate, syllabus design, and surviving the first year as a new faculty member.
