Interested in Tutoring?

UCA tutors provide individual and small group tutoring to students in the Tutoring Center located in  Torreyson Library,  Suite 223. Our peer tutors meet with students on a one-to-one or small-group basis to give learning assistance. Tutoring staff maintain a weekly schedule of available hours in the Tutoring Center for walk-in students who need assistance in course content and/or learning strategies. Center workers are expected to keep regular and accurate records of tutoring sessions using the Grades First software and/or relevant forms,  attend tutor-training sessions as required by the Campus Coordinator and attend workshops in order to obtain CRLA certification. In addition, our tutors assist with additional duties as needed, for example, covering front desk, answering phones, organizing materials, performing other clerical duties.
