The UCA Office of Study Abroad will participate in this year’s International Education Week hosted by the UCA Office of International Engagement.

The annual event is a national program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State to highlight the contributions made by international education and exchange.

UCA hosts over 500 students from 73 countries. International Education Week gives these students the opportunity to showcase their culture with the UCA community.

Study Abroad will host a study abroad fair at the Global Expo on Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 1-3 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom to provide students with the opportunity to learn more about how to earn UCA credit through Study Abroad opportunities, including semester exchange, language immersion and faculty-led programs and scholarship opportunities.

UCA is hosting 19 exchange students from 12 of its international partner universities this semester. These students will be at the Global Expo to talk to UCA students about their countries and spending a semester at their home universities.

Faculty from UCA Study Abroad faculty-led programs will also be the Global Expo to share information about their 2019 short-term summer programs.

A study abroad panel discussion will be in the McCastlain Fireplace Room on Thursday, Nov. 15 from 1:40-2:30 p.m. (X-period). UCA students, professors and staff will share their experiences leading or participating in study abroad programs. Panelist will discuss how studying abroad has impacted their personal and professional growth.
