GradesFirst is a student success management system that links students, administrators, faculty, staff, and advisors in a coordinated care network to support students from enrollment to graduation.  The GradesFirst system enables students, faculty, and staff to:

  • Set and make appointments
    • Academic advisors, faculty, tutors, peer coaches, and others can set up an appointment calendar open to students through the GradesFirst system. For information on setting up appointments, click here.  For information on making an appointment, click here.
  • Submit or review student progress reports and early alerts
    • Faculty submit progress reports each semester through GradesFirst.  Students, faculty, and staff may review alerts issued for a student by going to GradesFirst through myUCA.
  • Send email campaigns
    • Faculty and staff can send email campaigns (reminders, announcements, and requests to make an appointment) through GradesFirst.  For more information on how to do this, click here.
  • Record and review attendance and participation
    • Student attendance at advising sessions, success workshops, SI sessions, tutoring sessions, and other academic events is recorded on GradesFirst.  Faculty, staff, and students can review reported attendance by visiting the student’s GradesFirst page.
  • Find student information
    • The student page in GradesFirst includes information such as advisor name, class schedule, account holds, progress report information and grades, and major information.
