About Jacob:

Originally from Kansas, Jacob holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Emporia State University. While a student he was a member of he was a member of several student organizations, including the Kansas Epsilon Chapter of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity, which set him on the path towards working in higher education. After completing his undergraduate degree he served as a Leadership Consultant for the fraternity, he then returned to Kansas to earn a Master of Science in Counseling and Student Development from Kansas State University.

Prior to UCA, Jacob was employed at Fort Hays State University in western Kansas for seven years. He oversaw a variety of areas including fraternity/sorority life, student activities, student organizations, orientation programing, and performing arts. In 2019-2020 he decided it was time to explore new opportunities, which led to him accepting the position at UCA.

Jacob lives just outside the city limits of Conway with his wife, two daughters and their dog. They have just over an acre of property and he enjoys taking care of the yard, garden, and fruit trees. Being a native of Kansas, he is a long-time supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals, even through the bad years. In his free time, Jacob likes to spend time on home improvement projects, volunteer with his church, and enjoying outdoor activities.
