Dear UCA Students, below is correspondence from Zagster regarding the termination of the program. The Executive Officers of SGA are currently working to alleviate this inconvenience for students by exploring alternative avenues. Please contact us for further questions.
“The effects of COVID-19 on our communities has been tragic. Sadly, the pandemic has also impacted Zagster’s business, and it is with heavy hearts that we must inform you that Zagster will no longer be providing bike share services in your community. This was a difficult decision but a necessary one, for which we are truly sorry.
We are committed to supporting you in the coming weeks to ensure a smooth closure. The below section outlines some important information about the closure plan, and we remain available for additional questions.
- Bikes and stations will be removed from your market beginning May 28th and should be fully withdrawn by June 12th.
- Unfortunately, due to the impacts of COVID-19 on our business, we will not be able to provide any refunds.
- Riders will receive an email with details about the closure on Friday, May 29th. In addition, we will provide information on our website and app, which you are welcome to share via your own communication channels.
- If you have any additional questions regarding the closing plan for your bike program, please direct them to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please understand we have limited staff remaining so we ask for your patience in our response time.
We can’t thank you enough for your partnership. You have been at the forefront of micromobility, advocating for sustainable transport options well before it was commonplace across the country. We hope you will continue this great work post-Zagster as you work towards your goals of improving our communities through mobility.”
