Twala H. Maresh, PT, DPT, NCS emeritus

Dr. Maresh retired from the Department of Physical Therapy in May 2023 after 27 years of teaching and service.  Dr. Maresh was a Senior Clinical Instructor in the Department of Physical Therapy and licensed physical therapist and Board Certified Clinical Specialist emeritus in Neurology Physical Therapy from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.  Dr. Maresh received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy in PT in 1983, her Advanced Masters in 1998 and her clinical doctorate in physical therapy in 2002 from the University of Central Arkansas.   She taught in the areas of Clinical Foundations in PT Practice, Physical Rehabilitation and Advanced Spinal Cord Injury. Her clinical specialties are inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, patients with spinal cord injury, amputations, orthotic needs, prosthetic equipment, wheelchair prescription and seating evaluations. Her research interest is in spinal cord injury.  Dr. Maresh also served as the faculty mentor for the PT Club.
