Students admitted in one of the fully online undergraduate degree programs listed below and designated as an online student through UCA Online receive a flat-rate tuition of $285.00 per credit hour regardless of residency or location.

Addiction Studies (BS)

The University of Central Arkansas is the only university in the State of Arkansas to offer a Bachelor of Science Degree in Addiction Studies! This program is offered on-campus and online. The online program is a completion degree in Addiction Studies (Treatment) for students who have earned an Associate’s Degree.

General Business (BBA)

The Bachelor of Business Administration in General Business is designed to give graduates a broad-based understanding of business. It is an interdisciplinary degree with two parts. The first part is the business foundation and core, which includes 48 hours (16 classes) covering accounting, economics, finance, management, marketing, management information systems, business communications, and business law. The second part is the general business major, which includes 24 hours (8 classes) of business courses. The 8 classes must include at least one course in any three of the following disciplines: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Insurance/Risk Management, Management, Marketing or Management Information Systems.

This degree is designed for individuals who wish to explore diverse aspects of business rather than taking all eight courses in one field. It is designed so that students can create a course of study that prepares them for their academic and professional goals.

Insurance & Risk Management (BBA)

The online completion degree for the Bachelor of Business Administration in Insurance & Risk Management is designed to give graduates a broad-based understanding of risk management and insurance. It is an interdisciplinary degree with three parts. The first part is the UCA Core which includes 38 hours (12 classes) of general education requirements for a bachelor’s degree. Students will also complete sufficient elective hours to meet the minimum 120 hours required for the degree.  Many of these requirements may already be met by students who have some transferable credit.  The second part is the business foundation and core, which includes 48 hours (16 classes) covering accounting, economics, finance, management, marketing, management information systems, business communications, and business law. The third part is the insurance and risk management major, which includes 24 hours (8 classes) of insurance and risk management courses.

This degree is designed to offer students an opportunity to develop some specialization in areas such as risk management, property and liability insurance, life and health insurance, employee benefits, and personal financial planning.

Graduates of UCA’s Insurance & Risk Management major are employed as insurance agents and brokers, underwriters, claims adjusters, personal financial planners, risk managers, employee benefit consultants, and insurance regulators. Management Information Systems (BBA) – Business Analysis Concentration

The online completion degree for the Bachelor of Business Administration in MIS (Business Analysis Concentration) prepares graduates for a wide range of analyst positions. Business analysts provide expertise in business processes, data management and utilization, and systems development. With companies collecting more and more data, many analysts manage and process the data for competitive advantage. Bachelor of General Studies (BGS)

The Bachelor of General Studies is a degree program designed for the student who has earned some college credit—but has not completed a bachelor’s degree. It is not designed for first-time freshmen. Online students will focus on the Health Science Concentration and the Social Sciences Concentration.

The Bachelor of General Studies requires online students to complete a total of 60 credit hours comprised of the following:

        • 18 credit hours in the Health Science Concentration;
        • 18 credit hours in the Social Sciences Concentration; and
        • 24 credit hours of elective courses.
