Monica Lieblong, BSE, MS, CFCS

Visiting Clinical Instructor I of Nutrition and Family Sciences

(501) 852-0215

As an FCS professional and educator, service, teaching, and learning drive my professional
philosophy. I believe that every student is unique and deserves his or her own experiences
both inside and outside of the classroom. My work emphasizes the empowerment of
individuals and encourages their ability to impact their own communities. My ability to create and develop programs within the college, classroom and community allow me the
opportunity to carry out those core principals on a daily basis. One of the rewarding parts of
my career is witnessing how my work enhances the lives of the individuals with whom I work. When I am able to incorporate an organic connection with a student, I can identify an
experience in their life and relate it to how our profession can change lives. In my role as
visiting Clinical Instructor, I teach post-secondary students at the University, both in-person
and through online courses. Occasionally, I am asked to bring FCS content to the entire
student body, staff, and faculty through partnerships across campus and in the community,
and state. I serve in various leadership roles and on committees in order to further my
professional growth and development. I continue to remain active at both the state and
national level with the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences, International Society for Technology in Education, and Arkansas Association of Teachers of Family and Consumer Sciences.
