Parker Woodroof is an Assistant Professor of Marketing in the College of Business at the University of Central Arkansas. He holds a Ph.D. in Marketing from The University of Memphis, an M.B.A. from Belmont University, and a B.S. in Business Finance from Middle Tennessee State University.
Parker’s research is primarily focused on the shareholder wealth effects of both CSR-related actions by the firm along with various aspects of social media marketing. Specifically, Parker has studied how the announcement of cause-related marketing campaigns impact shareholder value. He’s also studied influencer marketing in the same capacity. Parker’s research has appeared in the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, the Journal of Business Ethics, the Journal of Product & Brand Management, the International Journal of Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Marketing, and Marketing Education Review.
Parker has taught at the undergraduate and master’s level in a variety of courses including Principles of Marketing, Retail Management, Marketing Strategy and Basic Marketing. He has been honored and recognized for his passion, dedication and effectiveness in the classroom.
