Dr. Mehl is the Associate Dean of the College of Liberal Arts.  He served twice as Interim Dean of the college, and as the Director of the General Education program.  Dr. Mehl’s early research interests were at the intersections of philosophy and religion, with a focus on Kierkegaard and William James.  His most recent research involves social and political philosophy, in particular liberal arts education, liberalism and human well-being. He regularly teaches in the Interdisciplinary Leadership Studies program.
