Gmail: Turning on Priority Inbox

When you choose the Priority Inbox setting, your emails are automatically split into three sections: important and unread, starred, and everything else. This can help “triage” your email as it comes in, allowing you to focus on the most important emails first.

  1. Login to your UCA Gmail account.
  2. At the top right, click the gear button, and then click Settings.
  3. Gear_settings

  4. Click the tab Inbox.
  5. In the Inbox type drop-down menu, select Priority Inbox.
  6. To finish the process, click Save Changes. Gmail will refresh automatically and sort your email into the three sections.
