UCA is going to Nairobi, Kenya!

 

Dr. Michael Mwenda Kithinji, Associate Professor of History at the University of Central Arkansas (UCA), will be available to meet with students and parents who may be interested in learning more about our institution on Monday, July 1 from 10:00 am to 11:15 am at theAmerican Space at Moi University – Bazaar Plaza 5th Floor (At the junction of Biashara St. & Moi Ave, Nairobi).

Dr. Michael Mwenda Kithinji is also co-director of the African and African-American Studies program at the UCA and an accomplished scholar with several publications. His most recent book is entitled The State and the University Experience in East Africa: Colonial Foundations and Postcolonial Transformation in Kenya. Dr. Kithinji, who earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Nairobi before going to the USA for further studies, is keen on breaking barriers and fostering connections between the USA and Africa.
