The MLK Prayer Breakfast Committee would like to extend an invitation for you to attend the 2023 MLK Prayer Breakfast on Friday, January 13th in the Ronnie Williams Student Center Room 205. The breakfast buffet will open at 8:15 a.m. and the official program will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m.
The Breakfast is held each year to celebrate the spiritual legacy, moral courage, and fortitude that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. brought to the social justice movement of our nation. During the event, Pastor E.C. Maltbia, Senior Pastor of True Holiness Saints Center and UCA Board of Trustees Member, will speak on the Legacy of Dr. King and attendees will also enjoy musical entertainment provided by a UCA Chorale Ensemble.
Because Dr. King was a man of compassion and service, the MLK Prayer Breakfast Committee has decided to add a voluntary philanthropic component to the event this year. To assist the UCA Bear Essentials Food Pantry in keeping its shelves stocked to serve the students on campus, we ask that you consider bringing non-perishable food and/or monetary donations on January 13th.
To join us in paying homage to the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., please email diversity@uca.edu with your name and the names of others who are planning to attend by Wednesday, January 11, 2023.
