Phi Alpha Theta
Students may join the Mu Chapter, Phi Alpha Theta, one of the oldest and most active chapters in the venerable international honor society for history. Undergraduates must have completed at least twelve hours in history (includes CLEP) with a 3.1 grade point average and have an overall GPA of 3.00. Graduate students should have competed a minimum of 12 semester hours towards their master's degree in history with a GPA of better than 3.5, and have completed approximately 30% of the residence requirements for the master's degree. Lifetime membership has a one-time fee of $45.00 to be paid at the time of initiation. In addition to regular meetings, members participate in statewide and regional student conferences, and other outings.

Fall 2013 initiation will be held at x-period (1:40 - 2:30) on a day yet to be determined more than likely in the Mirror Room of McAlister Hall.
