Green Bear Coalition Partners

Any person, group, entity or organization advancing sustainability at UCA is an ally of the Green Bear Coalition.

Student Government Association (SGA)– Advocates for sustainability at UCA and within the community by financially supporting GBC.

Lewis Science Center Atrium– The Atrium Garden promotes urban farm awareness and gives students the opportunity to learn sustainable practices.

Sustainable Environment and Ecological Design (SEED) committee– encourages, reviews, develops, recommends, and provides information about proposals that can enhance UCA’s role in the local and national environmental community.

Bear Boots on the Ground– Disaster & ecological relief effort for the local and regional community.

Outreach and Community Engagement– provides learning and civic engagement opportunities for UCA students.

Campus Outdoors (COPA) — Connects students with the equipment and expertise to appreciate and experience the outdoors.

Food Recovery Network (FRN)– Diverts food waste from businesses by transporting donated goods to food kitchens and transports organic wastes to composting areas.

Physical Plant– Handles mixed stream recycling efforts across campus, watershed quality control, and implementation of tree canopy expansion.

Conway Tree Board– protecting the health and safety of the residents and the environment through community forestry management.

Campus Conservation Corps (CCC)– Transports glass recycling at UCA and supports the green bag initiative across campus.

Biology Department– Educates about the environment, and hosts the GBC’s atrium remodel.
