“Working at a cancer center is the hardest thing I’ve ever done. At times, it all seems too big for me. But I remind myself of the lessons I learned at my Alma Mater. The only way to accomplish something extraordinary is to understand all the pieces, and there are always people around who can make it all a little easier. Asking for help seems hard until you do it, but I’ve never once regretted asking. My favorite memories at UCA started with a question, and my strongest friendships started with some sound advice.
I get a text or a call from at least one of my brothers every day. Sometimes they need something. Sometimes they ask if I need anything. That’s what a fraternity is: a bunch of guys who aren’t afraid to ask you for anything, but who worry that you’ll be too polite to do the same.
Living in Brooklyn has made me appreciate what it means to be southern—to embrace tradition and heritage so deeply that it warms the people around you.”
My Greek experience was more than I expected.
