The teachers and the administrators at UCA were great, and they strived to pull the best out of each student. If you were having a problem, they were there to help you. They tried to pull the best of me and they did. I tried to always strive to be the best that I could possibly be. All of your hard work pays off when you get to walk across the stage and get that diploma. That’s a big sense of accomplishment.
My Greek affiliation influenced my life by showing me teamwork and perseverance will always be the key to achieving what you want in life. You will always have obstacles that you have to go through, like the poem “See it Through” by Edgar Albert Guest. I took the lessons from my fraternity and UCA with me to my professional life as a firefighter. When a building is on fire, everybody’s running out, and you’re running into the building. You have got to be at your best and rely on your team because your life could depend on it. Being an Omega taught me integrity and compassion. Whether its work related or day-to-day life, that commitment to being
a better man and serving others has stayed with me and is a pivotal part of my life.
I am currently in our graduate chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., the Pi Omicron Chapter in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a chapter of professional men of all backgrounds and professions. I actively participate in Omega charities that we do every year.
My Greek experience was AWESOME!
