  1. Director of International Student Recruitment
    The University of Central Arkansas seeks a Director of International Student Recruitment to play a key role in the university’s strategic international recruitment initiative designed to increase the number of qualified undergraduate and graduate applicants to the university and support the growth of diverse international enrollment on campus. This high-energy and motivated individual will report to the Director of Global Learning and Engagement and will be a member of the University of Central Arkansas’ Center for Global Learning and Engagement team. The Director of International Student Recruitment will be responsible for the implementation of international student recruitment efforts. This staff member will meet with prospective students and their parents, secondary school counselors, various groups on and off campus, alumni, and other contacts in a variety of venues to promote the opportunities offered at the University of Central Arkansas, and support undergraduate applicants to the University of Central Arkansas. A significant part of the recruitment process will be establishing and nurturing relationships that serve as a conduit for international students. This staff member will direct and lead two International Admissions staff to coordinate recruitment and admissions activities and ensure effective communication with prospects and applicants.  The Director will also work closely with UCA’s agent partners around the world.  In addition, this staff member will collaborate with the Office of International Student and Scholar Services to ensure a smooth transition for admitted international students.  The Center for Global Learning &  Engagement will not sponsor applicants for work authorization.

    2.  International Admissions Counselor and Recruiter

    The University of Central Arkansas seeks an International Admissions Counselor and Recruiter who will communicate daily with international student applicants at both the undergraduate and graduate level. This position will work closely with another colleague in International Admissions and a new Director of International Student Recruitment reporting to the Director of Global Learning and Engagement in UCA’s Center for Global Learning and Engagement. This non-classified staff member will participate in recruiting students in various virtual and in-person formats. Occasional international travel is required.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    General International Admissions
    ● Use Slate CRM to manage applications for international undergraduate students whose family names begin with letters A-K
    ● Manage all international graduate admissions applications and coordinate with Graduate School
    ● Maintain International Admissions reports
    ● Contact new applicants as needed to yield admits
    ● Update students’ records in university SIS, Banner
    ● Supervise student workers for tasks related to admissions
    ● Serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO)
    ● Participate in communication and outreach plan to prospective students, inquiries, and applicants via email and social media
    Recruiting
    ● Participate in virtual recruiting events with colleagues
    ● Travel to recruit students (at least twice a year)
    ● Conduct presentations via zoom for International High School Students and webinars for Education USA Centers around the world
    ● Assist recruiting team in preparing marketing materials
    ● Work with Director of International Student Recruitment to follow up with prospective students through all stages of the recruitment process.
    ● Utilize Slate CRM to manage targeted recruitment strategies and on-going strategic communications with prospective students, inquiries, and applicants

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    The successful candidate will
    ● Possess excellent written communication and public speaking skills in English
    ● Have proven experience in multitasking and demonstrable attention to detail
    ● Have expertise with computer applications (Slate, Banner, etc) to manage and manipulate student data
    ● Be able to engage in occasional international and domestic travel as required

    Required Education and/or Experience:
    Bachelor’s degree and related work experience.

    Preferred Education and/or Experience:
    Bachelor’s degree and one year experience in international admissions or recruiting
    International experience through study or travel abroad
    Intermediate level proficiency in a language other than English
