Terri Rine received both a B.S. degree (in Family and Consumer Sciences) and a M.Ed. at Harding University.  She earned the Ed.D. in higher education from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.  Dr. Rine’s first 19 years’ teaching responsibilities were primarily in the area of Fashion and Interior Merchandising.  Currently, she enjoys teaching family relations, while continuing to teach some graduate level fashion/textiles classes.  Since 2006, all of her instruction at UCA is online delivery.

Dr. Rine is actively involved as a guest speaker/teacher at various school, community and church events on the topic of Recognizing Manipulation and Emotional Abuse in Relationships.  Since the murder of her daughter as a result of domestic violence, Dr. Rine and her husband have received training and certification as Grief Recovery Specialists from the Grief Recovery Institute.  Together they work with Spark of Life, a non-profit organization, offering intensive weekend retreats to individuals who have suffered great loss.  Additionally, the Rines have earned certification from SYMBIS (Save Your Marriage Before it Starts) as they work with couples anticipating marriage.  The Rines also co-present in parenting workshops.  Terri is active in her church and enjoys spending time with her family – one married son, daughter-in-law and two grands.
