Around 14% of credit students attending UCA originated from outside the state in FY 2018-19, and some of these students relocated to Arkansas to attend UCA. These students may not have come to the state if the university did not exist. In addition, some in-state students, referred to as retained students, would have left Arkansas if not for the existence of UCA.
