Ready for a unique adventure? Spend your semester immersed in marine studies at Stony Brook University in New York, one of 200 participating universities in the National Student Exchange (NSE) Consortium!
🔹 What’s waiting for you?
Hands-on learning: As a student at Stony Brook’s School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences (SoMAS), you’ll take classes on a research vessel and have the chance to work as a deckhand, assisting with real-time research in marine biology and atmospheric sciences.
Real-world experience: You’ll be based at the Stony Brook Southampton campus, where you’ll engage in exciting, field-based learning, especially in the Fall Semester when the weather offers more hands-on opportunities.

🔹 Program Details
Open to undergraduate students.
Eligibility:
GPA of at least 2.5
College-level biology (some electives may have additional prerequisites).
🔹 More than just classes
Travel to over 200 NSE locations across the U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam, Hawaii, Canada, and the U.S. Virgin Islands!
Transfer pre-approved course credit back to UCA and apply your scholarships/financial aid!
