Through National Student Exchange, you can enroll at the University of Alaska Southeast (Juneau) during the fall 2025 semester in a special program: Alaska Aquaculture Semester!
The Alaskan Aquaculture Semester offers a one-of-a-kind experience for students to work alongside University of Alaska Southeast (UAS) faculty and local industry partners. Through this program, you’ll dive into the world of aquaculture enhancement, with a mix of fieldwork and classroom learning—all set in the stunning, remote environment of Sitka, Alaska.
What You’ll Learn:
Aquaculture History & Policy: Understand the origins and regulations of Alaskan aquaculture.
Fieldwork: Hands-on experience in skiff handling and small engine maintenance.
Local Industry Insight: Work directly with industry experts who are shaping Alaska’s aquaculture future.
