SAVE THE DATE Tuesday, April 8 12:00pm-4:00pm
The UCA Library invites you to attend our Bear Biographies Event (formerly The Human Library) at the UCA Torreyson Library (2nd floor) on Tuesday, April 8th, 2025 from 12 pm – 4 pm. The event is free and open to the public.
Bear Biographies is designed to build a positive framework for conversations that can challenge stereotypes and prejudices through dialogue. It is a place where real people are on loan to readers– a place where difficult questions are expected, appreciated, and answered. Save the date to attend, or visit our Bear Biographies Guide for more information.
Our event, based on The Human Library, a worldwide project that originated in Copenhagen in 2000, is designed to build a positive framework for conversations that can challenge stereotypes and prejudices through dialogue. People volunteering as “human books” will be available for individual, 20-minute conversations with participants interested in learning more about their stories.
Please join us and feel free to bring a friend!

Hey!
Soup season is here, and we’re serving it up fresh and bold! No need to reach for the canned stuff- our soup is made from scratch daily, filled with real ingredients and crafted to warm you up on chilly days. Think hearty vegetables, flavorful broths, and a bowl that’s just like home (but maybe even better).
Come by the Christian Cafeteria and grab a fresh bowl of comfort. It’s souped the way it should be-bold, homemade, and just for you.
Stay warm and enjoy,
