The 32nd Annual Betty Fusilier Conference on Communication Sciences and Disorders is scheduled for Friday, March 4, 2016. This year's speakers will be Jeffrey C. Adams and Aleecia Starkey.
Jeffrey C. Adams, Ed.D., CCC-SLP, began his career as a speech pathologist in 1999. In addition to teaching at UCA and UALR/UAMS, his work experience includes the provision of speech-language pathology services to children and adults with traumatic brain injuries, cerebral palsy, autism and genetic syndromes in school and rehabilitation settings. Jeff has presented numerous times throughout Arkansas on school-based issues with feeding/swallowing, assistive technology, and autism. He has also presented at ASHA and ATIA. Jeff is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist through the Academy of Certified Brain Injury Specialists in association with the Brain Injury Association of America. Jeff is a speech-language pathology trainer and consultant with the Easter Seals Outreach Program, in association with the Arkansas Department of Special Education.
Aleecia Starkey, M.S. P., CCC-SLP is a speech-language consultant for students with brain injury for the Dawson Education Cooperative and AR-Special Education Resource Consultants. She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA, a license through the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Speech Pathology and Audiology and a Teaching License through the Arkansas Department of Education. Aleecia is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist through the Academy of Certified Brain Injury Specialists in association with the Brain Injury Association of America.
