NEW CHINESE BUSINESSES IN ARKANSAS
A new Chinese garment factory will relocate operations to Little Rock, Arkansas, bringing 400 jobs, and economic and cultural boost to the region. Recently, a delegation from China’s Suzhou Tianyuan Garment Company, headed by its board director Mr. Tang Xinhong, paid a visit to UCACI. The company, which is building its factory in Little Rock, is expected to come into operation this November. It is the first Chinese enterprise setting up a factory in the State of Arkansas.
UCACI has played an important role even before the project was initiated, helping the company with its field investigations, recommending outstanding American students at UCA who major in the Chinese language to be employed, and finding American partners for cooperation.
Mr. Tang expressed his sincere thanks to UCACI for all the help and support it had offered and hoped that UCACI would continue to help the company’s growth in the U.S by training its American and Chinese employees on cross-cultural knowledge and recommending excellent UCA students to work in the company.
Alex Zhao, Deputy Director of UCACI, said that the CI would do its best to help the company grow. It could offer support in consultation, personnel training and talent recommendation. He also hoped that both sides could join hands in launching some quality Chinese cultural programs.
