InkWire is a university-sponsored writing competition held among undergraduate students each fall and spring.

The InkWire awards will be selected annually for outstanding research essays written by an undergraduate enrolled in a WRTG 1320: Academic Writing and Research.

Essays must be nominated by instructors. However, students may request that an instructor nominate their work.

We are asking that WRTG 1320 students submit their original and exceptional research essays for consideration. We know that there is an exciting variety of writing assignments in our classes; therefore, we will accept all types of essays incorporating research on any subject.

The winning entry will be selected by a panel of writing instructors.

We are limiting entries to six entries per instructor.

Closing date for spring submissions is Friday, December 13, 2019.

Winning students will be notified via email.

Awards will be presented spring 2020.
