Duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

– Serve as expert and communicator for assigned product lines
– Responsible for all aspects of managing inbound purchase orders: revisions, expedites, dating, etc. for assigned product lines/categories
– Handle new items and item maintenance for assigned product lines/categories
– Work with Director of Purchasing and Purchasing Manager to manage return/disposition of out-of-date & discontinued inventories per assigned product lines/categories
– Collaborate with Director of Purchasing and Purchasing Manager to make recommendations on improvements to internal processes to include assigned projects
– Establish, maintain, and expand regular communication with external (Customers and Vendors) and internal stake holders (purchasing team, distribution center personnel, sales department team, etc.) ensuring quick response times and satisfactory problem resolution to ensure the success of the company’s buying programs
– Responsible for maintaining an adequate in-stock position of inventory, ensuring that inventory is turned consistently to maximize sales and minimize loss in shrink for assigned product lines/categories
– Works with Purchasing Department to maximize growth and profit opportunities tied to replenishment
– Monitor and Review Key Performance Indicators vs. Goals to Ensure Performance Targets are met
– Contribute to the creation and modification of processes and procedures related to inventory management, out of stocks, cost accuracy, and forecast accuracy
– Participate and provide support at sales meetings to introduce new products and/or resolve questions and issues related to assigned product lines/cate

This position will report to the Director of Purchasing and the Purchasing Manager
