Program Descriptions

*Sessions and Group Trips are during the Fall and Spring semesters only*

SESSIONS

The Sessions provide the opportunity to use COPA equipment and learn valuable experience in the outdoors.  COPA staff will provide equipment and personal instructionor enjoy using COPA equipment on your own.

Sessions are designed to be more hands-on and active participation, in the natural outdoor environment.

If needed at the beginning of each session, personal instruction can last up to 45 minutes.

*All are FREE, but are only open to UCA Affiliates.  Only one clinic and session per month.

TRIPS

The Trips are “guided outdoor expeditions” to explore natural environments and participate in various outdoor recreation sports such as hiking, backpacking, canoeing, kayaking, and rock climbing.  They are offered each semester and occur over weekends, even spanning multiple days throughout university holidays and breaks.

Trips are designed to physically active in an outdoor recreation event, experience various ecosystems, and interact with diverse participants.
