Jeffrey C. Adams, an instructor and clinical supervisor in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology, was recently elected to the Board of Directors for the Arkansas Speech-Language and Hearing Association to serve as treasurer for the organization.
John Barlow, addiction studies program coordinator at UCA and adjunct faculty member for Mid-South Community College, was presented the 2009 Covington Award. The Covington Award is the highest award given by the Arkansas Substance Abuse Certification Board to those who have made significant contributions to the field of alcohol and drug addiction treatment.
RaeLynn Callaway, part-time faculty member in the Department of Family and Consumer Science Dept, completed her master’s of science degree in August 2009 and passed the National Council for Interior Design Qualification Exam in October 2009. She is the owner of CYInteriors in Conway.
Lyndsey Ingram, an undergraduate athletic training major, received funding from the Arkansas Department of Higher Education’s Student Undergraduate Research Fellowship program for the research project called “Reliability and Validity of Measuring Scapular Upward Rotation Using an Electrical Inclinometer.” Dr. Steve Tucker, an assistant professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education, is the faculty mentor for the SURF grant.
