First-Year Writing

The First-Year Writing program at UCA serves as an introduction to academic writing and teaches students the foundations of written communication. In these UCA Core courses, students have the opportunity to explore many different genres of writing that serve as a foundation for writing across the curriculum. WRTG 1310 and 1320 (and equivalents) are courses where students are asked to join the academic conversations taking place in their classes, through texts, and all over the world.
