Individual Strategies

Individual-level interventions target students, including those in higher-risk groups such as first-year students, members of Greek organizations, student athletes, and mandated students. They are designed to change students knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors related to alcohol so that they drink less, take fewer risks, and experience fewer harmful consequences.

UCA implements the following categories of individual-level interventions.

  • Education and awareness programs, campaigns, and activities
  • Judicial alcohol education courses
  • Skills training and practice
  • Student Health 101
  • Counseling and behavioral therapy
  • Referrals for treatment
