University Research Council
The University Research Council is comprised of representatives of each college on campus, and is permanently chaired by the Graduate Dean. The members are automatically appointed if they Chair their College's Research Committee. There are also two Faculty Senate-At-Large positions appointed to the URC. The URC is charged with deciding where and how university funds should be appointed to Faculty doing Research.

NEW PROPOSAL SUBMISSION PROCEDURE
Once proposals have completed all the approvals through the College Dean, they will need to be digitized (scanned to PDF files) and submitted electronically to the Graduate School. Paper proposals will no longer be accepted. Each proposal and its supporting documents should be created in its own PDF file. The Graduate Dean’s office will compile all the submissions for each meeting into an electronic portfolio to send to the University Research Committee members.
